KOZHIKODE: The Neurosurgery Department of National Hospital has carried out a complicated surgery on a 55-year-old woman from Sulthan Bathery, who had double cerebral aneurism. The condition is caused by abnormal dilatation of two blood vessels around the brain. The patient, Nabeesa, who was admitted to the hospital on August 6 was discharged eight days after the surgery, the hospital administrators said on Friday. The occurrence of aneurism in two places simultaneously was uncommon, they said. Two surgical procedures are needed to correct the life-threatening problem, but in this case it was done in one sitting.
