Mystery of missing files solved?

Special Correspondent

Bangalore: The case of the alleged disappearance of 890 copies of complaints from the office of the Karnataka State Commission for Women, while Pramila Nesargi was its chairperson, is now being attributed to “some mismanagement.”

Speaking to The Hindu, Minister for Women and Child Development P.M. Narendraswamy said that investigation of the alleged disappearance of copies had revealed “mismanagement”, but refused to give details saying he had to first submit the report to Chairman of the Legislative Council.

However, Ms. Nesargi claimed that the investigations had revealed that files had not gone missing in the first place. The copies were “wrongly assumed to be missing” because disbursed cases and those that had been put aside for lack of adequate details for investigation were also counted as “missing.”
