AICC sends relief material for flood-hit
HYDERABAD: The AICC on behalf of the Rajiv Gandhi National Relief Fund Welfare Trust has sent relief material for distribution in flood affected areas of the State.

APCC president D. Srinivas on Friday received the material and sent the same to the flood-hit areas of Mahabubnagar district by deputing APCC vice-presidents Pitla Krishna and S. Jagadeeswar Reddy. Talking to reporters here on Friday, he said 6,000 blankets, sarees and towels each, 5,500 tarpaulins, 1,000 kerosene stoves and 1,200 LPG stoves were sent by the AICC. He said the private secretary to AICC president Ahmed Patel, Union Petroleum Minister Murali Deora and AICC treasurer Motilal Vora spoke to him about the relief material being despatched for distribution to the affected people.
Office bearers’ gesture
Meanwhile, the office bearers of APCC donated Rs. 10 lakh towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the assistance of the flood affected victims.
