SHIMLA: The public sector mini-‘Nav Ratna’ company Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam operating the prestigious 1,500-MW Nathpa Jhakri Project in Himachal on Friday declared a dividend of Rs.320 crore for the current financial year and paid Rs.240 crore to the Union Government towards its 75 per cent equity share. The dividend cheque was presented by the company’s Managing Director H. K. Sharma to Union Power Secretary H. S. Brahma, said a spokesman here. The Corporation had earned a total income of Rs.2029.24 crore in year 2008-09.
