ActionAid gives Rs. 40 lakh for flood relief

NEW DELHI: ActionAid, an international anti-poverty agency operating in almost 40 countries, has released over Rs. 40 lakh for relief in flood-hit Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

As per the State Disaster Agency, a division of the Home Ministry, over three lakh people were taking shelter in about 300 camps in A.P.. In Karnataka, close to seven lakh people were in 1,600 camps, an ActionAid statement said on Friday.
