Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre organises essay competition

NAGERCOIL: The Liquid propulsion systems centre in Mahendragiri would conduct an essay competition to high school students (VII, IX and X) belonging to the State in connection with the World Space Week celebration being organised during October 2009, said the Senior Administrative Officer, K.G.Unnikrishnan Nayar.

According to him, the title of this year’s essay was ‘space for education’.

Essays could be written in English or Tamil. Essays must be neatly handwritten one side of the A4 size paper and should not exceed 2000 words.

The entries should contain the name, age, name of the school, standard, residential and school address, contact phone number (with STD code) and e-mail address, if any of the participants have.

A letter should accompany the entries from the Principal, certifying that the student wrote the essay.

Entries should be sent to the Senior Administrative officer, Mahendragiri post, Tirunelveli district, Pincode: 627 133, Tamil Nadu on or before November 20.

English and Tamil entries will have separate prizes.

The winner of the best essay would receive the GSLV award, which will be given at a function to be organized at LPSC, Mahendragiri during December 2009.
