Math to construct houses for the flood-affected

BELLARY: Sri Satyatma Teertha Swamiji of Uttaradi Math, who has supplying relief material to flood victims, has announced that the Math would construct 100 houses for the flood-affected.

Help for needy

Speaking to presspersons here on Saturday, the swamiji said that he had visited flood-affected districts such as Bellary, Bijapur, Raichur and Bagalkot, and had arranged for supply of food, food grain, clothes and other relief materials to the victims of the flood in the State and in the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.

He said that the Math would construct the houses by using the donations, made through the math, by devotees and philanthropists.

The swamiji said that the math, along with the Vishwa Madhwa Maha Parishat, had been extending financial aid to the tune of Rs. 5 lakh every year to needy students.

Homa performed

A Brahati Sahasra Homa was performed at the Uttaradi Math here on Sunday for universal peace, presided by Sri Satyatma Teertha Swamiji.
