It is a drama, says Vijayakant
Staff Reporter
SALEM: Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam president Vijayakant has dubbed the visit of a delegation of MPs from Tamil Nadu to Sri Lanka as an ‘eyewash.’
The ruling DMK government, after letting down the Sri Lankan Tamils totally, is now staging a drama by sending the MPs just to watch the sufferings of the Tamils in the island nation, he told reporters here on Sunday.
Mr.Vijayakant also blamed the DMK Government for having made any efforts to alleviate the sufferings of the Tamil Nadu fishermen, who were often subjected to harassment by the Sri Lankan Navy.
Earlier, he launched his party’s ‘Pengal Natin Kangal’ scheme.
