Adilabad reels under power crisis

Staff Reporter

ADILABAD: Adilabad is facing severe power crisis due to the damage to the power house caused by floods in Kurnool and other districts. Power cuts that have extended to more than nine hours every day in urban areas and even more in rural areas could continue until the year end.

AP NPDCL Chief Managing Director Narasimha Reddy said the power cuts could go on until power generation in the Srisailam generator is restored.

Mr. Narasimha Reddy said besides diversion of power from Ramagundam Thermal Station, power cuts were being imposed to maintain grid frequency.
