CUTTACK: The High Court on Wednesday refused to give anticipatory bail to mines owner S.N. Dasmohapatra and his son who are wanted by the State vigilance sleuths for their alleged involvement in illegal mining activities. With the rejection of anticipatory bail, it now paves way for the anti-corruption wing to arrest the father-son duo who had been evading arrest ever since the vigilance wing began probing the multi-crore scam in August this year. Last month, the vigilance sleuths raided the house of Dasmohspatras but they reportedly gave a slip. “They are facing charges under several sections of Prevention of Corruption Act and Mines and Minerals Development Regulation Act,” vigilance sources said.
