TIRUPATI: Joint Collector B. Suresh Kumar paid a visit to the centralised relief material pooling centre at the municipal auditorium here on Wednesday. He saw for himself the flooding of rice bags, groceries, bed sheets and clothes received from philanthropists from across the district to the centre and directed the staff members to dispatch the materials with care. He also requested public not to send the relief material directly to Kurnool, as it could either lead to duplication or render the exercise ineffective. MCT Commissioner P. Mohan Reddy and Urban MRO Kanaka Narasa Reddy also took part. A police constable G.P. Sankar Reddy proved Good Samaritan by donating Rs.5,000 to the CM Relief Fund. He presented a cheque (No.298984) to the Superintendent of Police K.Lakshmi Reddy. Students of SEICOM Degree College, led by Director T.Surendranath Reddy, donated 2100 kg of rice, cooking oil and tamarind, worth in all Rs.80000.
