HYDERABAD: The GHMC has issued notices to several hotels in Secunderabad for storing stale food, unhygienic conditions and lack of trade licences during an inspection here on Wednesday.

Four special teams went round 30 hotels, including Hotel Alpha, Hotel Padmaja, Swati Tiffins, Nanking, Hotel Nakshatra, Leo Continental, Raj Classic Inn, KFC and others. Hotel owners were served the notices to rectify the defects pointed out within 10 days or face the prospect of closure, said Chief Medical Officer of Health Jairam.

Teams of the medical officers would also visit and inspect residential college hostels and canteens of corporate hospitals and offices in view of the seasonal conditions, he said and appealed to hotel owners to ensure that clean water and freshly prepared food is supplied to customers.
