Meanwhile, Joint Collector B. Suresh Kumar paid a visit to the centralised relief material pooling centre at the municipal auditorium on Wednesday and inspected the rice bags, groceries, bed sheets and clothes mobilised by philanthropists from across the district and directed the staff members to dispatch them carefully to Kurnool.

He requested individuals and associations not to send the material on their own to Kurnool as it could lead to duplication or render the effort ineffective. MCT Commissioner P. Mohan Reddy and Urban MRO Kanaka Narasa Reddy were present.
