A record in aerobics
Staff Reporter
Dinaz Veratvala
HYDERABAD: Twelve continuous hours of aerobics with only a five-minute break every hour! Daunting as it may sound, the feat, if accomplished, will earn fitness instructor Dinaz Vervatwala a place in the Limca Book of Records.
Beginning on Thursday at 4 p.m., Dinaz and a few of her students will perform aerobics to a motley mix of music. While the students take turns, Dinaz will continue till 4 a.m., Friday morning to set a Limca record with a 12-hour aerobic marathon.
“This is a prelude to a bigger attempt planned for January. After this, she will try and break the Guinness record with 26 hours of continuous aerobics,” says Beraz Italia, Manager, Dinaz’s Fitness Studio.
The Guinness record for the longest aerobic marathon is currently held by a Colombian, Duberney Trujillo, who performed for 24 hours. The Limca book of records has no record for an aerobic marathon as yet.
