One killed in accident

CHENGAM: One person was killed and two persons, including a two-year-old child, were injured when a bicycle which they were riding collided with a private bus near here on Saturday.

Police said Sampath (35), Murugan (25) and a two-year-old child were returning to Melpuzhidur from Chengam. A private bus heading towards Tirupattur from Tiruvannamalai hit them near Muraiyar Bridge. Sampath was injured and taken to Chengam Government Hospital. He was referred to another hospital from there.

However, he died on the way. Murugan and the child are being treated at the Chengam GH.
