Private schools seek government support

KURNOOL: Private schools which suffered extensive damage in the recent floods sought the support of government on par with other business establishments.

A meeting held under the chairmanship of president of Private Schools Managements’ Association V. Janardhan Reddy and city president G. Pullaiah said 63 schools were caught in the floods in the city and lost expensive infrastructure, furniture and libraries.

Many schools lost records and would not be able to prepare the list of students appearing for the public examination immediately, he lamented.
