Fatally knocked down

TIRUCHI: A. Karuppasamy (35) was fatally knocked down by a private bus at Lalgudi on Saturday. Police said he was standing at the Lalgudi bus stand when the accident took place.

The driver T. Ramanathan has been arrested. In another incident, S. Palanisamy (40), a cyclist, was fatally knocked down by a car at Meenaveli Road near Valanadu on Friday. The matter was reported on Saturday.
