Devanga Higher Secondary School distributed clothes to the aged. As many as 78 students of the NSS programme participated. Clothes were distributed to 50 residents of the Coimbatore Corporation’s home for destitutes.

Saplings planted

Siruthuli planted 100 saplings at PSGG Kanya Gurukulam Higher Secondary School on the occasion of the birthday of former President APJ Abdul Kalam. Pungan, Poovarasu, Thoongu Vaagai, Iyal Vaagai, pencil trees were planted. The school students would water and take care of the plants.

Vidhyarambam

Vidhyarambam was celebrated at Sri Ranganathar Matriculation Higher Secondary School recently. Parent and students participated in the function.

The NSS special camp of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Thondamuthur, was held at Thennamanallur. The students participated in various activities such as cleaning the school campus, whitewashing the school walls and cleaning the nearby temples.

Exhibition

National Model Matriculation Higher Secondary School organised an art and craft exhibition recently. It helped the children interact among themselves and develop interest in different topics. It also encouraged the students to make craft items out of waste materials.

Science exhibition

G.K. Vijayakumar, correspondent of Sri Gopalnaidu Higher Secondary School, inaugurated a science exhibition at the school on October 9. The students exhibited more than 150 models related to astronomy, stem cells, cloning, solar car, green flame, and puzzles. Students from ABC and Jay Matriculation School visited the exhibition. A science quiz was also conducted.
