Bank manager held on carjacking charge
NEW DELHI: A 28-year-old manager of a private bank and an alleged accomplice have been arrested in connection with several cases of carjacking.
Acting on a tip-off, a Special Operations Squad of the Crime Branch laid a trap near Zakir Husain College here on October 15 and arrested Jaswant alias Jassu. He is an area manager in the insurance wing of the bank in Gurgaon. He had earlier worked as a business development manager with another private bank.
His accomplice Jagdeep, who runs an automobile repair shop, was later arrested at his instance.
Three stolen cars and a country-made pistol have allegedly been seized.
