HYDERABAD: It was the 21-year-old personal assistant P. Dhanalaxmi who masterminded the murder of sexagenarian businessman B. Jeevaratna Chary reported 10 days ago at Jeedimetla, the police said on Monday. The PA and four other men, through whom she allegedly got the murder plan executed, were arrested. Dhanalaxi from Visakhapatnam came to the city in search of job a year ago. She joined as PA to Mr. Chary, a rich industrialist from Visakhapatnam who ventured into real estate business in Hyderabad and had set up an office at Jeedimetla. Eventually, she developed an illegal relationship with the businessman who provided accommodation for her in the house he resided in, Jeedimetla Inspector A. Gangaram said. Though she got married to a driver from Vizag four months ago, Dhanalaxmi continued her alleged affair with the businessman having cast an eye on his assets. “Meanwhile, she developed a liaison with two more youths, Vasu and Subhash, who used to come to her office,” the Inspector explained. The businessman’s family members grew suspicious of the PA’s behaviour when they came to city and persuaded him to sack her. Mr. Chary got her evacuated forcibly from the house on Dasara day renting out the portion to a tuition teacher. The PA nursed grudge against the businessman over this and hatched a plot with her two paramours to eliminate him. Vasu and Subhash, along with their associates, Kiran and Ravinder Praveen, went to the businessman’s house on October 9 night and murdered him.
