Purandeswari’s call yields US $40,000

HYDERABAD: Union Minister of State for Human Resources Development D. Purandeswari’s appeal to Non-Resident Indians at a function in New Jersey to help the flood-affected yielded a spontaneous collection of $40,000.

She made this appeal at an event organised at Royal Albert College to felicitate her in the presence of Wood Bridge town Mayor John Mc Cormick, New Jersey State Deputy Speaker Upendra Chivukula and others.
