Businessman robbed

Karwar: A businessman was robbed of gold jewellery worth Rs. 63.7 lakh at Tatawal bridge on Yellapur road in Haliyal taluk on Tuesday evening. According to Sunita Suresh Bhat of Sadashivgad, she and her husband were going to Kolhapur by car when the vehicle developed a problem. Two persons appeared on the scene and threatened Bhat and his wife and robbed them. — Correspondnet
