Salem
SALEM: Members of the Salem Urkkalai Thozhilalar Munnetra Sangam discussed a number of issues with the management of the Salem Steel Plant here recently. The issues included shortage of labour, recruitment of new personnel, completion of the expansion project, wage revision, job security, various employee benefits and jobs to the members of the families that gave land for the establishment of the steel plant. Earlier, a special meeting of the union was also held. LPF All India President C. Kuppusamy presided over the meeting.
