Youth murdered by gang

CHENNAI: A youth was murdered by a three-member gang in Thiru Vi Ka Nagar on Thursday.
According to police sources, G. Chandran (23) of Indira Street was found lying in a pool of blood late on Wednesday. He was admitted to a nearby hospital where he died early on Thursday.
A special team formed to investigate the case arrested S. Jani alias Janakiraman (19) and R. Suresh alias ‘Muttai’ Suresh (20). A search is on for another person involved in the murder.
The Thiru Vi Ka Nagar police are investigating.
Workers succumbs
A construction worker who was assaulted by one of his colleagues on October 10 succumbed to injuries at a private hospital here on Wednesday.
According to police, Krishna alias Krishnan (29) of Bangalore was injured in a clash between labourers. Nagarajan (28) of Bangalore was arrested by the Nolambur police on charges of attempt to murder. Since Krishnan died, the case was altered to Section 302 (murder) of the IPC .
