Districts I beats City III

CHENNAI: Districts I beat City III on the basis of its first innings lead in a match of the TNCA round robin U-14 tournament here on Thursday after the two teams played out a draw.

In another match, City IV beat Districts II, also on the basis of its first innings lead.

The scores:

City III 169 in 76.2 overs and 88 for no loss in 30 overs (Siva Prakash 46, L.Sathya Narayan 37 n.o) drew with Districts I 224 for six in 90 overs (U. Vishal 72, Swaminathan 38, Jagadeesan 77 n.o.).

City IV 248 for eight in 90 overs and 66 for one in 19 overs (Abhinav Sundar 30 n.o.) drew with Districts II 178 in 64.2 overs (Hari Nishanth 51, M.S. Pramodh 37, Danush Kumar five for 53).
