Meet on anaesthesia

CHENNAI: The Department of Anaesthesia, Government Stanley Medical College, will organise a meeting as part of World Anaesthesia Day from 8 a.m. on Sunday. The event will include a series of lectures on the latest advancements in anaesthesia followed by a workshop on spirometer, blood gas interpretation and haemodynamic monitoring. There will be a discussion on challenges faced by anaesthesiologists and management of polytrauma.

Health Secretary V.K. Subburaj will inaugurate the workshop, said R.Subramania Bharathiyar, head of the Department of Anaesthesia of the college, in a release.

About 400 anaesthesiologists and post-graduate students from the State, Puducherry and Karnataka are expected to take part.
