IBS to introduce PGPM

BHUBANESWAR: ICFAI Business School (IBS), Bhubaneswar would be introducing a two-year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) for the forthcoming academic year beginning in June 2010.

The programme would provide students with a holistic combination of knowledge and skills which would lead them to career opportunities in the corporate world, said Prafulla Kumar Dash, dean of IBS, Bhubaneswar addressing a press conference here.

The programme would comprise of foundation courses, functional courses, capstone and elective courses, a summer internship programme of 14 weeks and a management research project.

Speaking on the occasion Samad Noorus, member – New Initiative Group of ICFAI, said once the Legislative Assembly passed the ICFAI Private University Bill, campus would come up on the outskirt of the capital city.

ICFAI was looking at an investment between Rs.100 crore and Rs. 150 crore to create a campus on 53 acres of land which were being purchased by the group from individuals.

Mr. Noorus said the courses would be designed keeping in view of the market requirement and local needs.
