Man’s death in accident leads to tension

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Tension prevailed after an A.P.S.R.T.C. bus rammed into a cyclist killing the latter on the spot on Madina hotel-Nayapul bridge stretch in old city on Saturday night. Accusing the bus driver of negligence and the police of failure to rein in the erring driver, locals staged a demonstration. Charminar MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri arrived at the scene and pacified the agitating crowds. The body of the unidentified victim was shifted to the Osmania Hospital morgue.
