Gulzar honoured at Osian’s Film Fest

NEW DELHI: Veteran lyricist-poet Gulzar was honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award at the 11th edition of Osian’s Cinefan Film Festival that opened at Siri Fort auditorium here on Saturday.

Receiving the award from Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Gulzar said: “I am thankful for the recognition which is an assurance that what you have done is okay. If you do more work then it is better but an artist’s work needs to be shared with the public.”

The festival was inaugurated with the screening of an award-winning Romanian film, Hooked, by Adrian Sitaru.

Over a hundred films from Asian, Arab and Indian cinema would be shown during the festival at Siri Fort and Alliance Francaise.
