CUTTACK: Tense situation prevailed in two localities under the Madhupatna police station here when two powerful bombs were hurled at a fabrication unit in Sartol village on Wednesday afternoon. According to the police, the residents of Tinigharia and neighbouring Sartol have been at loggerheads since Durga puja this year over a boundary dispute. On Monday, two youths of Tinigharia were returning through Sartol village and they were booed by the locals, police said adding there was no complaint in this regard. “However, around noon on Wednesday, two unidentified youths came on a motorcycle and threw two bombs on the fabrication unit of one Bubu Bastia in Sartol bazaar,” said Madhupatna police inspector K.P. Mishra. Although, the unit was badly damaged in the blast, no one was injured in the incident, he added. Police begun investigation after registering a case basing on complaints filed by Bastia.
