Action sought

Bangalore: Janata Dal (Secular) Legislature Party Leader H.D. Revanna has demanded the suspension of Magadi tahsildar for alleging levying a fine of Rs. 1 lakh on a truck, which was carrying sand from Hassan to Magadi taluk. Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, Mr. Revanna alleged that the Government had no control over functioning of officials. He urged the Government to suspend the tahsildar, who had misused the powers and imposed exorbitant fine.
