AFWWA Week celebrated

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A blood donation camp, distribution of aid and painting and other competitions marked AFWWA Week, organised by the southern chapter of the Air Force Wives’ Welfare Association (AFWWA), from October 22 to 28. The event was held in connection with the 39th anniversary of the formation of the association.

The activists visited the Mother Teresa orphanage at Palayam and provided aid to those housed there. A blood donation camp and painting and other competitions were also organised for the wives and children of Air Warriors during the week.

A special general body, chaired by association regional president Nandita Mukherji, marked the conclusion of the week.

The association has been managed by the wives of Air Warriors since its inception.
