Army Green struggles

HYDERABAD: Army Green defeated Andhra Pradesh Police 18-25, 25-20, 26-28, 25-22, 15-8 in a marathon, two-hour battle in the K. Ramaswamy & Lakshmi Devi prize money volleyball tournament at Audiahnagar Playground here on Thursday night.

For the winners, Dalbir singh and Anil combined well while for the losers, Sudhakar and Suresh put up a fine display. In a match late on Wednesday night, Revenue Sports Control Board got the better of Andhra Pradesh Police 25-22, 25-23, 25-12.

Kabaddi selections

Ranga Reddy District Kabaddi Association will organise selection trials for junior boys and girls at Jyothi Youth Club (Saroornagar) on October 31 and November 1 from 4.00 pm. The teams to take part in the 36th Inter-district championship to be held in Vemulawada will be picked during the above trials. Contact Ph: 98495 32287, 90100 73111.
