Nagercoil: A student died in a road accident here on Wednesday. According to police sources, Manjunathan (20) of Udhagamandalam in The Nilgiris district, a third year student of a private medical college at Kulasekaram, was returning to Kulasekaram in a motorcycle on Wednesday. While Manjunathan was on his way, Manoharan of Thenthamaraikulam asked him for a lift up to Thuckalay. When both were coming in the bike, Manjunathan lost control of the vehicle and hit an electric post at Kumarakovil junction. Both of them were critically injured They were admitted to the district headquarters hospital where Manjunathan died and Manoharan was undergoing treatment. The police have registered a case.
