BERHAMPUR: Three more naxalites were arrested by security forces during combing operation in Gudari area of Rayagada district on Friday. In the last two weeks ten naxals were nabbed by the police in Rayagada district. Most of these arrests were made in Gudari block of the district. According to the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Rayagada, Ashis Kumar Singh, these arrests are part of the strategy of the security forces to root out the ‘shells’ and contacts of Maoists in remote areas. The three recently-arrested naxals were: Sadananda Hikabadi of Biripanka village, Purna Chandra Shambhutika of Nachuni village and Anand Praska of Madhukupuda village. They were involved in the attack on the Dangasorada police outpost in 2008.
