Nannapaneni criticises former DGP S.S.P. Yadav Is he fit to be managing director of APSRTC, she asks
Raising a point: A delegation of TDP coming out from the Secretariat after submitting a memorandum to Chief Minister K. Rosaiah in Hyderabad on Saturday. HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam has asked Chief Minister K. Rosaiah to take action against those of his Cabinet colleagues who neglected their official duties in the aftermath of the death of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. Reacting to the reported confession by former Women and Child Welfare Minister Konda Surekha that she did not step into the Secretariat since Dr. Reddy’s demise, TDP MLC Nannapaneni Rajakumari asked why Mr. Rosaiah did not suspend the Minister until her resignation. Ms. Surekha let the women down at a critical juncture when they suffered due to floods. Ms. Rajakumari also demanded Mr. Rosaiah to inquire if there were any other Ministers or officials who failed in their duties grieving over the tragedy. They should be removed if they were found guilty. She was critical against former Director General of Police S.S.P. Yadav whom she accused of being rashly negligent in discharge of duties and, of late, challenging the appointment of Mr. Girish Kumar as his successor. She wondered how Mr. Yadav, who was found unfit for a post in the police department which was supposed to be people-friendly, could handle another people-centric assignment as managing director of APSRTC. MinoritiesV.S. Ameer Babu, State president of minority cell of TDP, said the party will organise a meeting of minorities at a function hall at Tolichowki on Sunday evening to discuss preparations for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections.
