Assaulted

Sirsi: Two forest guards — Ramachandra Patgar and Subray Naik — were allegedly assaulted by forest encroachers Seetaram Gouda, Shekar Gouda, Gajanan Gouda at Hebri recently according to sources. The ‘encroachers’ had grown illegally arecanut, coconut and plantain in the forest area and the forest guards had gone there to make inquiries. — Correspondent
