‘Pneumonia is a major killer’

VISAKHAPATNAM: Two million children under five years of age die from pneumonia each year, a figure which is more than the deaths reported from AIDS, measles and malaria combined. According to the latest data provided by World Health Organisation, every minute one child dies of pneumonia in India. And India leads the world with 27 per cent of the global pneumonia cases.
