KOLKATA: Souvik Chowdhury of Hooghly district and Moitree Chatterjee of Chandannagore won the men’s and women’s crown in the B.M. Chattoraj Memorial table tennis here on Monday. Souvik annexed a double crown winning the junior boys title to lead the march for Hooghly, which won seven out of the 10 titles that were decided in the day. Another Hooghly player Riya Dutta also won a double crown in the girls section. The results (singles finals): Men: Souvik Chowdhury (HG) bt Tanmoy Dey (N24) 10-12, 11-9, 11-8, 11-4, 11-9. Junior boys: Souvik Chowdhury bt Sayandipto Chatterjee (CN) 11-4, 6-11, 11-4, 11-2, 6-11, 11-7. Sub-junior boys: Saikat Bhattacharjee (SK) bt Ranjit Sen (HG) 11-6, 11-6, 6-11, 13-11, 11-9. Cadet boys: Rohan Biswas (HG) bt Sayar Bose (SK) 11-9, 11-4, 5-11, 9-11, 11-5. Nursery boys: Ranajit Sen (HG) bt Nilanjan Sarkar (HG) 11-8, 11-8. Women: Moitree Chatterjee (CN) bt Riya Dutta (HG) 11-7, 7-11, 11-6, 8-11, 11-3, 11-9. Junior girls: Riya Dutta bt Suparna Bhattacharya (HG) 9-11, 11-5, 11-7, 8-11, 11-8, 11-6.
