Bank of India to open ten new branches

VISAKHAPATNAM: Bank of India is planning to open ten new branches in coastal Andhra districts in a bid to expand its customer base.

This was disclosed by the zonal manager of the bank GLN Sastry on the occasion of the opening of the BoI’s NAD Kotha Road branch. He said the bank was awaiting RBI approval to open new branches.

Also, priority would be given to self-help groups and women in financing self-employment schemes, he added.

Director of Naval Science and Technology Laboratory (NSTL), V. Bhujanga Rao, formally inaugurated the new branch.

He advised the bank officials to strive for the economic development of low income groups in the area. Branch manager Ch. Ananda Rao assured the customers of better banking services.

Deputy zonal manager Tangirala Sekhar, senior manager (marketing) PRP Swamy, corporators Behara Bhaskar Rao, Haranadh, and president of BoI Staff Union G. Gurunatha Rao, spoke.
