KOCHI: Movie buffs in search of more information on the late T. K. Balachandran (popularly known as TKB), renowned actor and producer, have something to cheer about. The web site www.actortkb.com will now offer them a mine of data on the artiste, thanks to an initiative by his son, B. Vinod Chandran.

“I was upset to find out that a Google search on my father yielded only very few results. Even his photographs were missing at places where his name was mentioned,” he said, recalling the incident that prompted him to launch a web site in memory of his father.

Actor Mohanlal, who had a special relationship with Balachandran, launched the web site here on Wednesday. “TKB had spent his entire life for cinema,” he said, pointing out that the veteran actor had his own viewpoint about the world of cinema. Mohanlal also had the opportunity to play the title role in ‘T.P. Balagopalan MA’ that was produced by TKB. Family members of the late actor said the web site brings back nostalgic memories of TKB.
