Civic official ‘caught’ by ACB

HYDERABAD: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Wednesday ‘caught’ Machilipatnam Municipal Commissioner P.M. Satyaveni, after she demanded a bribe of Rs. 5,000 for showing official favour. She directed her husband S.V.G.V.A. Prasad, lecturer, Andhra Jateeya Kalasala, to receive the amount, from B. Venkateswara Rao, junior assistant, Bangakota Municipal High School, who was suspended on October 7. She demanded the amount for forwarding an enquiry report to the Regional Director, Municipal Administration, Rajahmundry. –Special Correspondent
