CHENNAI: The AIEEE Model Exam, hosted every year by The Hindu Education Plus and AIMS Education, will be held this year on November 15 all over Tamil Nadu. This will benefit students of Standard 12 aspiring for admission to the NITs and other colleges offering B.E./B.Tech programmes. The Model Exam will be followed by a discussion session on November 29. Both the parts of the event are offered free. While AIEEE is mandatory for admission into the NITs, many other important state-level and central institutions admit students based on AIEEE marks and ranks. Many deemed universities, including some in Tamil Nadu, have been filling up 30 per cent or more seats using AIEEE marks. This year, the number of NIT’s has gone up to 29. A discussion session will be held on November 29 at Vani Mahal, T.Nagar, Chennai, for the toppers. Teachers from the participating schools can also attend. The toppers will be felicitated and the top three rankers will be awarded with cash prizes and certificates of merit. Subject experts D.P.Sankaran, Srinivasa Rao, and Dhirendra will discuss the Model AIEEE questions, efficient methods of preparing, time management and maintenance of psychological poise. To register for this free model exam call 044-24359822 or visit www.aimseducation.com. The event is sponsored by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University.
