Holiday declared

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State government has declared h a holiday for public offices and educational institutions in the Assembly constituencies of Alappuzha, Ernakulam and Kannur on November 7. It will be a paid holiday for government and quasi-government institutions and commercial establishments. It will be a holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act also. The Labour Commissioner had asked private establishments, which come under the Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, industrial centres and other private institutions to give a paid holiday to workers on November 7.
