Double winKendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 (Uppal) scored a solitary goal win over Kendriya Vidyalaya (Gachibowli) in the boys’ final of the KCS Regional Sports Meet here. Left-in J. Sai Krishna scored the match-winner. In the girls’ final, Kendriya Vidyalaya (No. 1), Uppal, defeated KV Trimulgherry 2-1 with centre-forward D. N. Meenakshi and left-in M. Ashwini scoring for the winner while left-in Deepika reduced the margin for the loser. Award for BansiBansi Prathima, a fourth standard student of Railway Girls High School (Secunderabad) and international chess player, has been named as the recipient of the ‘National Child Award for exceptional achievement’ by the Government of India, according to an AP Chess Association press release here.
