Zonal-level competitions on November 16

PUDUCHERRY: Zonal-level competitions for the 2009 State Best Child Awards for Creativity will be held on November 16.

The competitions will be held at Government Middle School, Ariyankuppam, for students from the Ariyankuppam and Bahour communes; at Government High School, TV Koil, for those from the Nettapakkam and Mannadikuppam communes; at Government High School, Ariyur, for those from the Villianur commune; at Government High School, Thattanchavady, for those from the Uzhavarkarai commune; and at Veeramamunivar Government High School for those from Puducherry.

Students not younger than nine and not older than 16 as of April 1, 2009, are eligible to participate. Competitions will be held in arts, performing arts, writing and science categories. Guidelines and application forms for participating in the contest are available at the respective schools. For queries, contact 2225751. Jawahar Bal Bhavan of the Directorate of School Education is the organiser of the contest.
