Witness stabbed on court premises

CUTTACK: In a shocking incident, a witness, who came to depose before a lower court here, was repeatedly stabbed allegedly by opposite parties on the court premises in broad daylight on Friday.

Satyajit Naik of Naugaon block in Jagatsingpur district was attacked in front of the SDJM court here around 11.30 a.m. Satyajit was stabbed twice with a sharp weapon while the crowd was taken aback. “Satyajit is out of danger,” said the local Lalbag police who are investigating the case.
