RBI platinum jubilee fete

Soiled notes exchange mela and distribution of coins to be held at Adilabad main branch


ADILABAD: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Regional Director N. Krishna Mohan and State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) Managing Director Renu Challu are among top bankers who will visit Adilabad on November 7 to participate in various programmes connected with the RBI platinum jubilee celebrations here.

This is the first time such high ranking banking officials will be visiting Adilabad district. K. Chandra Prakash Gupta, Assistant General Manager, SBH Region II, Adilabad, and K. Ramesh Babu Assistant General Manager, SBH, Adilabad main branch, told reporters that soiled and mutilated notes exchange mela and distribution of coins would be held at the main branch at 9.30 a.m. followed by the same programme at Ichoda branch of the SBH at 11 a.m.

Financial literacy

A financial literacy programme would be organised for students of the Tribal Welfare Boys School at Ichoda mandal headquarters. In the programme, students would be introduced to subjects like banking, economy and the RBI. They will also be given a chance to participate in a quiz.

Financial Inclusion

A Financial Inclusion programme would be held at Sat Number Gaon in the same mandal before the officials returned to Adilabad main branch for a seminar and awareness programme on fake notes and the ombudsman scheme in the banking sector.
