KOLKATA: A managerial rank employee of the Reserve Bank of India and his wife were arrested by the police here on Friday on charges of torturing and illegally confining their maidservant. A deputy general manager at the RBI headquarters here, Shib Prakash Mitra and his wife Madhuri Mitra had employed teenaged Manjari Nayek a few months ago. In her FIR, Manjari alleged that the couple used to beat her up and confine her in a room without food for days. Manjari escaped from the house on Thursday night and filed the FIR.
