PUDUCHERRY: Competitions for Children’s Day celebrations for schools in zone-II were conducted at Savarayalu Nayagar Government Girls Primary School on November 6.

A total of 385 students from government and private schools participated in the competitions.

According to a press release, 78 students from pre-primary classes, 95 students at the primary level, 113 students from middle school level, 69 students from high school level and 30 students from higher secondary level took part in the competition. Three students have been selected at the zone-II level competitions. Of this, the first and second place winners will contest in the regional level contest.

Deputy Inspector of Schools-Zone II K. Jacobrajan was present, added the release.
